Abstract

Problems in private schools in remote areas include difficulties in obtaining teachers according to their fields, limited permanent teachers, lack of experience of new contract teachers, and limited infrastructure. Learning completion according to the KKM is also low, between 40-60%. Therefore, improving the quality of teachers is very urgent, especially in preparing learning administration and madrasa exam question grids to improve student learning completeness. One of the efforts made was a workshop on preparing teaching equipment as supervisory action research (PTKP). This research aims to improve the ability of teachers in the KKM MTsN 12 Ciamis target area in  compiling learning tools. This workshop is expected to provide adequate knowledge and experience for teachers in preparing madrasa exam question grids, which are summarized in Teacher Workbooks 1, 2, 3, and 4. The research was conducted for four months, from January to April 2022, through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The results show that teachers feel the need to have teaching equipment, teaching experience is still minimal, and knowledge about preparing question grids is still lacking. All teachers supported the workshop and had high motivation to take part. In pre-PTKP, 62.13% of teachers were able to prepare learning tools; increased to 79.57% in cycle I, and 86.65% in cycle II, with a GOOD score (76-90). The workshop proved effective in improving teachers' abilities in  compiling learning tools, with an increase of 24.52%.
